Buchart Horn Architects provided the Project Team with all structural engineering required for a complete design and construction documents of the new 78,000 square foot Refrigerated DSD/Corrugated warehouse, including a 10,000 square foot attached office, water storage tank, 25,000 square foot wash bay and fleet maintenance building with fuel island for Turkey Hill Dairy.
Site work includes rough grading for building pads, light and heavy duty macadam paving, stormwater detention facilities, large retaining walls, access drives, and landscaping. The new buildings will consist of conventional structural steel columns, moment frame with limited cross bracing or shear walls as determined during schematic design, and steel joists, masonry cavity walls and insulated metal panels and sloping EPDM roof.
The new warehouse includes support facilities including offices, restrooms, and docks for shipping and receiving. The is designed to accommodate a future warehouse expansion.
