DRJTBC | Facilities Maintenance Garage Concept Study
Buchart Horn Architects (BHA) performed a study associated with the maintenance garage at the I-78 toll facilities in Easton, PA. The existing facility was constructed by PennDOT in 1980 and later transferred to the DRJTBC. The study was completed to enhance operational efficiency at the location. BHA performed an analysis of current uses and needs as well as projected needs to house the equipment and resources required to provide operational and maintenance services at the location. Site visits were conducted to view existing uses, vehicles, equipment, and supply storage areas and interview operations and engineering staff to ensure all aspects of needs and uses were addressed.
Scope of services included:
Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
Life and safety improvements
Incorporating Building Management Systems to reduce energy uses at the facilities
