Honoring Ismeta Jovicevic: A Habitat for Humanity Hero

At Buchart Horn Architects, we take pride in the dedication and passion of our team members—not just in their professional work, but also in their contributions to the communities we serve. This March, we are excited to celebrate one of our own, Ismeta “Izzy” Jovicevic, who has been recognized as a Habitat Hero by Habitat for Humanity!

Izzy, a Project Designer in our York, Pennsylvania headquarters, has been an active and dedicated volunteer with Habitat for Humanity for years. Many of you have joined her during Women’s Build events, where she has led by example, putting her time and skills to work to help families achieve homeownership. Her unwavering commitment to service and community-building makes her truly deserving of this recognition.

She received this honor at the Habitat for Humanity Awards Breakfast on March 4, where she was recognized for her efforts alongside other dedicated volunteers.

“Izzy’s passion for giving back to the community is truly inspiring,” gushed W. Scott Loercher, AIA, NCARB, Principal + Director of Design, who was in attendance at the breakfast to support Izzy alongside several of her colleagues. “Her dedication to Habitat for Humanity reflects the same commitment and excellence she brings to her work at Buchart Horn Architects every day. We are incredibly proud to see her recognized as a Habitat Hero—it’s a well-deserved honor for someone who consistently goes above and beyond to make a difference.”

Congratulations, Izzy! Your dedication to improving lives through volunteerism is an inspiration to us all.
